Happy New Year's Eve Ervryone!!!  Just sitting on my couch with my cousin, brother, sister, brother's gf and daaaaaa mama!  Just ate a lot of food... planning to eat a lot more.  Turning out to be a FUN New Year's Eve (minus my heart beating too fast, or so I thought, scare).

Cupcakes

I LOVE eating cupcakes and LOVE baking them even more!  Here are my favorite (specialty) cupcakes.

RAINBOW CUPCAKES

• Vanilla cake mix (or make by scratch)
• At least four different colored food dyes
• Cupcake papers
• Frosting of choice (homemade is always the best)

STEPS

1. Make the vanilla batter in one bowl
2. Seperate batter into seperate bowls
3. Color all the batter 
4. Put the papers in the cupcake tin
5. Put one color of batter in the bottom of the paper
6. Put the next color in
7. Repeat

Crystal Starshine

My best friend and cousin (my sister is my best friend too) is the BEST!  Her name is Crystal Starshine (Crysta).  I am going to list the reasons she is SO awesome!  She is such a nice person and fun, and funny etc., etc., etc.  This is the story of our friendship.

Crysta was born a mere six days before me.  Her mother and father were of course elated to have another blindingly beautiful baby girl.  My mother tells me she talked to Crysta's mother and couldn't believe when six days later, I another beautiful baby girl was born.

Since that day we are like sisters.  Going to family reunions, sleepovers, playing...  Best friends for life.

H:  Our first joint-post!
B:  Here we both are, it's 11:28 p.m...
H:  Hi!
B:  Just having a little tift about the way I chew gum and do '...' more than three times...
H:  Brooklyn chews gum SO annoyingly (as do all people) (she just spit it out- VICTORY is mine once again), and makes like so many '...'s that I am forced to edit down her posts.  ALSO, just learned something new. She uses "caps lock" every time she needs a capital letter (don't most of us just use shift?).
B:  Just attempted to spit my gum out and it fell on the floor... oh my life... hungry... thirsty... wanting my gum back.
H:  What's your favorite food?  Mine is (are?) wings (extra honey bbq, please).  We are not talking as we do this.  It's beginning to get a little awkward.
B:  My favorite food... impossible to say, I was just going to mention how silent we were... great minds think alike (does that apply?).
H:  I don't think so, but nice attempt at being philosophical (anyone notice that she has scaled her ...s down to three?).  Brooklyn just flossed her teeth, yet just emerged eating Twizzlers.  Hold on while she brushes her teeth for the second time.
B:  Actually the first.  Flossed, ate some twizzler, brushed.  Um, yeah so I have been wearing the same shirt for I think more than 24hrs. Time to change.
H:  Ew Brooklyn is gross.  Guess who's side of the room is constantly a filthy mess?
B:  Neither... I've been clean the past week!  This is a really un-stimulating conversation... let's get a little more interesting please, we have more to offer than just this pathetic mess.
H:  Do we? Bahaha.
B:  I expect so, let' tell a story... we can add on to each other's writing who shall start?
H:  Once upon a time...
B:  There was a most BEAUTIFULLLLL girl named Brooklyn

Brooklyn:  Science fair.  ugggggg (sighs).  What about you?
Hayden:  Trying to avoid doing a French paper...  I'm succeeding.

Brooklyn:  Today I got our favorite food...
Hayden:  COURTYARD HICKORY CHICKEN WITH FRIES AND BAR-B-Q!?

Brooklyn:  I really want to take a shower, but I don't what should I do?
Hayden: Your call, it depends how badly it's needed, if it's been 3 days for sure, 2 days.... iffy
Brooklyn:  I think I will, I just got some new shampoo it smells SO good!
Hayden:  Oh, I went shopping and got some new shampoo too.
Brooklyn:  Really where did you go?  What else did you get.
Hayden:  Just around, you know.  I go a couple new shirts... a dress for work, some new shoes and this brush a guy at a salon talked me into getting.  I have to go, I should get to the French... poopies.

Before leaving the house in sportswear, make sure you have at least some knowledge of the team you are sporting (no pun intended), or at least a few witty comebacks prepared for the numerous remarks you will receive.  I was running late to class this morning (when am I not?) and threw on a Yankees hoodie before running out the door.  Over only an hour or so, I received not one, not two but SIX comments, as follows (I was clueless):

1.  Are the Yankees gonna do it this year? (rando sitting on bench) 

"Hopefully!"

2.  We've got a Yankees fan in here!  (dude at bagel shop)

Heh hem, let's begin.

Shopping List

• an undecorated mask (look at local craft stores.)
• stick on jewels (another craft store buy)
• felt tipped markers (rose art, crayola etc.)
• permanent marker

Now with the steps

• take your mask and color it with your desired color
• wait for the marker to soak in it may take a while
• now take your sticky jewels and apply them anywhere you want
• for your final step take the sharpie and decorate in a way that pleases you

Don't Let The Bed Bugs Bite.

I will explain why I have been MIA...

I am the biggest baby EVER (Brooklyn can confirm this), therefore I am freaking because my apartment may/may not be infested w. bed bugs (yes even the most clean and organized of us can become victim)!
Story:  I woke up 2 days ago with mosquito-bite-looking spots- red, itchy, etc.  Unfortunately one can never be certain when the city has already closed (temporarily) a Victoria's Secret & movie theaters for bb infestation!!
Last night I slept on the couch, then attempted to take action today, but NOONE is being helpful! My apt.'s office refused to return my calls, and the exterminator that I sought out on my own never showed up (I waited around for 2 hours then finally concluded he wasn't coming).
What's a girl to do... my dad (pretty sure I will still be calling my dad for advice when I'm 50 years old) says I need to sleep in my bed tonight to confirm things one way or another... More Bites= Bed Bugs (a.k.a. run for the hills), No More Bites= BB Free (cross ur fingers, please!!!).
