Happy Snow Deeeee

  Yes, here in Cleveland there is a bit of a snowstorm.  School was called off and yes, I know I'll be upset in June when I'm sweating in an upstairs classroom looking out the window and seeing how beautiful it is outside, but here is a new motto.  Enjoy it while it lasts.  And that's just what I'm doing.  If anyone wonders what my plans/accomplishments for the day are just keep reading.

Shovel the driveway (accomplished and caluses forming)

Go out to breckfast (accomplished - pancakes, bacon extra crispy)

Post (in the process)

Clean room (yet to be done)

Paint nails (looking forward to that more than plan above...)

Make food ( :O )

Get cutified (new word I hope you like it, I' m not so sure how I feel)

Go to my school's play (I love plays)

Come home, maybe watch some T.V.

Bed?

What I Could Easily Eat Right Now

  • The Muffin - soft, warm, moist, flavorful - can you ask for more?  I don't think so.
Apple Walnut (my mom made them this morning)

  • Macaroni and Cheese - the name says enough
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  •  Cake- preferably white coconut
I don't know whose birthday it is but I would like to help celebrate...

I am going to stop here so the list doesn't get too long.

Hidden Treasures

Propeller Studio is a Japanese stationary company that I recently discovered while popping into a little vintage shop by my apartment (unfortunately, I can't find an official PS website!).  Their products- postcards, folders, note pads, stickers, posters, etc. are adorable and HAPPY: )!!  The items have cute and funny pictures and phrases that were translated from Japanese to English.  I even sent Brooklyn one of their mini cards as a valentine (yes, I loove Valentine's Day also)!

Ballerina

I love ballerinas, from the costumes, to the dancing, to the music - MAGIC!  And, hopefully one day I will morph into one and be able to dance like one (or more importantly dress like one).  Taking the ballerina and converting her performance wardrobe to everyday fashion is a wonderful thing.

On Stage

My favorite costumes from The Nutcracker.
Swan Lake
SO flowy and magical!
Pink, and girly and ladylike.

Real Life

This American Apparel petticoat(which I now own thank you Hayden)
is beautiful, and comes in a soft pink (shown in picture)

This nude round toe flat is c-u-t-e and with paired
with confidence (<-- muahaha) will look beautiful
A close-fitting long sleeve t-shirt is sleek
and simple, perfect for ballet practice
and everyday.
Ballet bun, dumbed down and just as
cute.

If Anyone Has a Sudden Urge to Buy Me a Gift...

(wow looooonnnng title)

So, if anyone (Hayden), has the sudden impulse to buy me a gift I would suggest some philosophy products.  Seriously you'd make me one happy girl.  You'd make me even happier than this picture can make me...

Cupcakes II

Mmmmmmmm

Okay, you have to admit this is AWESOME, but I, like George Washington (did I get the correct president???), must not lie, the other ones were not as cute.

Weekday + Rush-hour + Winter + Awful Weather + Delayed Trains + Mass Amounts of [cold, wet, sick] People=

Recipe for Disaster.

I find much inspiration for my posts while on the subway (e.g. this and this), and today was no exception.  Given the "inclement" weather, trains were running (much) slower than usual, and tempers were short.  When trains run slower, the time allows for more people to gather at each stop, waiting for the next train (visual), likewise, more people to need to exit at each stop.  Below are a few of the many (hilarious) remarks* I overheard while "stuffed like a sardine in a can."  If only I could remember them all... (remarks in bold italics).

-  Woman frantically trying to get off the train at her stop: "I'm getting out!"
Exhibit A:  You should have done that two minutes ago.
{the train doors had just opened and it was so crowded that no one could move}

-  Watch your wallets and your personals.

-  There was an ad promoting the new clocks in subway stations that let you know what time the trains will arrive.  The ad reads: "It's nice to know when your train will come."
Exhibit A's rendition:  It's nice to know when your packed train will come, stuffed like a sardine can, and slowly get you to work.

-  What a despicable system.

-  Do you know how many minutes my pay is getting docked right now for being late...

-  One problem, and all of these issues are created...

-  {the train made an abrupt stop}
Conductor:  "This is 33rd Street."
Exhibit A (as if he was the conductor speaking):
This is stopping quickly and watching you fall.

-  Who's getting off at the next stop?  I'm trying to plan my maneuvers in advance.

- {in reaction to the whole ordeal}
Ain't that a kick in the head...  {sung in tune}

Hehe,
Hayden

Note to Self (#3)

Never use a hanky [i.e. a handkerchief].

(Upon googling this, I discovered that there is someone [well, something] called Mr. Hankey, the Christmas Poo which I found particularly disturbing).  Moving on...
Does the idea of using one of these frighten anyone else?  I've never exactly understood how the things work, but from what I've gathered, it's like a tissue that you keep reusing and stowing away in your pocket??? Then wash and reuse???  I'll stick to tissues, please.

Meh!!!
